Central Government Scheme to provide equipment assistance to persons with disabilities (ADIP Scheme)
Who benefits?
Individuals with 40% or more disability.
Other sources of monthly income should not exceed Rs. 20,000.
In case of dependents, the monthly income of the parents / guardians should not be more than Rs. 20,000.
For this purpose, the limit will be one year for children under the age of 12 who have not received any help in the last three years.
How much benefit.
Any one tool assistance will be given up to a limit of Rs. 10,000. (Modern devices such as Daisy Book Player, Laptop and Digital Manifier can be availed. This type of device will be provided by the expert committee at the suggestion of the expert committee.
Providing any one instrument assistance to students studying above Std-9 up to a limit of Rs.12,000 Will come.
The following assistance will be provided if corrective operation is required to install equipment and devices.
Rs.500 to Rs.1,000 for hearing and speech impaired persons.
Rs.1,000 to Rs.2,000 for visually impaired persons.
Rs.5,000 to Rs.10,000 to a disabled person with orthopedic problems
When a person with multiple disabilities needs more than one instrumental assistance, the limit will apply differently to each instrument.

By organizations accredited by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, New Delhi.
