Who benefits?

Pregnant mothers below the poverty line in urban and rural areas (for maternity up to three children)

This is only for those districts in which Indira Gandhi is implementing Maternity Cooperation Scheme without its beneficiaries. Will benefit from the scheme.

Where to get benefits

Near the nearest female health worker. Deposit the money directly in the beneficiary's bank account / post office account. Will happen.

Method for availing the benefits of the scheme

The first installment will be payable by the beneficiary registering with FHW in the first trimester of pregnancy on Mamata Day.

Pregnant mothers below the poverty line will be eligible for the second installment by undergoing delivery at a government hospital or a hospital under the Chiranjeevi scheme.

The child below the poverty line will be entitled to receive the third installment after giving vitamin-A along with measles vaccine on Mamata Day 9 months after the birth of the child and 12 months before the completion of full vaccination.

Assistance / benefits under the scheme

Assistance of Rs.2000 / - for registration on Mamata Day in the first trimester of pregnancy. 

Assistance of Rs.2000 / - in the first week of delivery in government hospital or under Chiranjeevi scheme.

Mamta to the mother of the child as nutritional assistance 9 months after the birth of the child and 12 months before. Assistance of Rs.2000 / - after giving Vitamin-A along with measles vaccine during the day and after completion of complete vaccination.

Thus, each beneficiary mother will get a total assistance of Rs.6000 / -.
