Who benefits?
To a destitute old man or woman aged 60 years or above
Not have a 21 year old son.
If the son is mentally unstable or suffers from a serious illness like cancer, TB
The elderly will also be able to apply.
Have been living in Gujarat permanently for at least 10 years. Annual income limit of the family - Rs. 1,20,000 / - for rural area and Rs. 1,50,000 / - for urban area
How much benefit
Monthly assistance of Rs.750 / - is received under the old age pension assistance scheme of the state government. (Via DBT)

Proof of age (copy of any one specimen) Certificate of leaving school, proof of birth (above Talati / Nagar Panchayat record), age proof only of the superintendent of a civil hospital or community health center and a municipal hospital.

Copy of certificate of residing in Gujarat for more than 10 years (Talati-cum-Minister)
After the pension is sanctioned, open a bank account and give a copy of the passbook (book) to the social security account and in writing to the Mamlatdar's office.

A certificate of survival must be submitted every year.
