In recent days, I’ve been writing more about emerging markets (EM). That’s because the Dollar continues to fall sharply versus EM, which in my opinion signals that more Dollar weakness is coming. We are seeing some huge moves in names like Apollo (down 8%), KKR (down 5%) and the regional bank ETF (KRE, down 5% today and 10% this week). The funny thing about credit is that it ...

The recent Decision of the United States Supreme Court concerning TARIFFS could allow for Hundreds of Billions of Dollars to be returned to Countries and Companies that have been “ripping off” the United States of America for many years, and now, according to this Decision, could actually continue to do so, at an even increased level. I am sure that the Supreme Court did not have this in mind! It doesn’t make sense that Countries and Companies that took advantage of us for decades, receiving Billions and Billions of Dollars that they should not have been allowed to receive, would now be entitled to an undeserved “windfall,” the likes of which the World has never seen before, as a result of this highly disappointing, to say the least, ruling. The Federal Reserve is reportedly challenging two subpoenas at the heart of US Attorney Jeanine Pirro’s criminal investigation into Fed Chair Jerome Powell. The Wall Street Journal reported Friday that the Fed, in sealed proceedings, is asking a judge to squash the subpoenas, which could reduce or eliminate its obligation to respond. Pirro, a longtime ...

Japan’s 楼1,400tn ($9tn-$10tn) public debt dominates almost every fiscal debate. Far less attention is paid to the other side of the balance sheet. Japan owns one of the largest portfolios of public commercial assets in the developed world – spanning land, buildings, infrastructure, financial institutions and operating companies – yet these assets barely ...
My instant reaction in client-focused chat rooms upon seeing these numbers was that they were much better than expected because of the details. The United States must drop its “excessive demands” in nuclear talks with Iran to achieve a successful outcome, the Iranian foreign minister has said, as the US embassy in Jerusalem granted permission to nonemergency staff members to leave Israel amid fears of a regional war. The most expensive home in Arizona is up for sale, and for its $40 million price tag, potential buyers would be getting a lot more than run-of-the-mill household amenities. The property has a full-sized basketball court, a shark tank, a 12-seat movie theater, and a two-lane bowling alley — and that only scratches the home’s surface. If sold at its listing ...

In financial services, sponsorships have long carried an uncomfortable reputation. But as the global retail trading industry matures, that assumption is becoming outdated. IC’s partnership with ...
