psychological problems

I noticed that I have a psychological problem, the simpthoms are clear, in demo I win, in live I lose, and a lot.

Cannot understand why, I don't notice that I get more nervous or anxious, just it happens in that way, I can switch from day to day and it keeps happening, really frustrating.

Anybody have any advice about that? any kind of help will be highly welcomed

thanks in advance

Trading is about following a winning strategy. If you lose on a live account then it means you are not following a strategy but trading rather chaotic. Or am I wrong?
Risk Management is of utmost importance!

This is a common problem faced by novices,~~
I noticed that I have a psychological problem
//----

brad barber and terrance odean can probably help....... or at least they helped me.....

many times.....
//-----

in terms of losing big, what has helped me is to manually reduce the size and numbers of trades.....

while at the same time increasing the predictability of the trades success...... which will in itself also lower the size and numbers of trades....

doing this, lessens the number of good trades required to cover the bad ones.... which increases overall profit and our confidence in the process.....

in psychology, it's know as the pygmalion effect.....
//------

there is nothing wrong with making minimum wage while were learning to be millionaires.....h
to trade and code, keep both simple... no call to impress....h
hi, thank you all for your answers, really intersting books and authors, I will check them for sure.

I'm solving it as it has to be done, keep trading in real, minimum lotsize but keep adapting the brain to it, it's working, I'm only at 20 pips of the big loss that I made last week.

Just remember that a loss trade is not necessarily based on bad decisions, and that a win trade is not necessarily based on good decisions.

It is easy to confuse a single trade outcome (which is still to a large extent random) with a structural problem in the strategy or your behavior (outcome bias). However, it is easy to get into this toxic spiral of adjusting your behavior if you see losses, and that effect is accelerated as you trade on a live account.

I understand your frustration. Many traders experience a difference between demo and live trading results. It's important to stay persistent and work on managing your emotions. Seek guidance from experienced traders or professionals. Keep going, and you'll find a way to overcome this challenge!
I understand how frustrating it can be to experience such a pattern. What I suggest is to stay consistent in your trading approach. It's important to develop a routine and stick to it, as it helps create discipline and stability. Also, you can do exercises and meditation to improve your focus and maintain a calm state of mind.

Dozens of traders across the world can relate your problem buddy and it's one of the primary things traders encounter in the very beginning of their way.
Well... Not gonna lie, professional in this field also face such difficulties from time to time even though they have an immense experience behind.
The main advice of mine to you - try to relax. It sounds corny as hell, but you should understand that there's a certain sum of money which you allocate for trading and imagine that you have already lost it. Just imagine you doesn't have this sum anymore, imagine that you are trading virtual funds. This strategy can help you to form an immune to the fear of the market, and losses on the real account.
You won't be succeeded right away, but constant trainings bear fruit.
I have just started my FX trading journey last April 2023, and in my personal observation the more I trade , the more I lose. So when I tried to take a different approach, specially shifting through a larger time frame H1/H4/D1 I was able to make larger profits. That being said, it makes sense to say that "Less is more". The lesser I trade, the higher I gain. This of course may not be applicable to everyone as we have different trading strategies.
You lose because you get emotions that you don't have on the demo and then errors come and the circle closes. The basis is to start with a rate at which you will not feel a mental burden when losing and see if it will improve your statistics, if so, systematically increase
Because all of this later adds up to other factors that you don't stick to the strategy and you end up in full gambling
That's my opinion

If you lost in a real game, then in the demo, you must have been lost too. Just be honest with yourself.
If you won in the demo account, it was short-term luck.

The root cause is really simple. No one goes bankrupt because they exchanged their USD with Japenese Yen or Pounds.
Forex is slow!
You used lots of leverage. That's it.

Learning about what leverage itself will save you from this loop of hell.

All the bubbling about emotion and psychology is the most bullsh*t I constantly hear.

Change your expectation, and don't play with ridiculous behaviour.

Why on earth, do people believe in Pips? Pips are not real.
