Hello traders,

I抦 starting this thread to connect with others who actively trade Silver (XAG/USD). Lately, silver抯 been showing some serious volatility ?just today it moved over 1200 pips, which is kinda much heavy move.

I抦 curious how many of you are trading silver regularly, and how you manage the wider spreads it sometimes throws at us, especially during news events or off-peak hours (start/end of week). Compared to gold, silver can be a wild ride but also offers great opportunity if timed right. Would love to hear your setups, strategies, or thoughts on silver抯 recent momentum.

My analysis ?Silver just broke into new ATH today, and its not showing signs of significant retracement. In fact, the momentum looks pretty solid, and I wouldn't be surprised if it keeps pushing into higher highs throughout the coming week and possibly the rest of July.

I think, it is because of the continued weakness in the USD not just technically, but fundamentally too. Real inflation pressure, dovish sentiment from the Fed, and broader macro uncertainty are all stacking up against the dollar. When you combine that with silver抯 industrial + safe-haven dual role, we could be looking at a strong upside continuation.
But honestly, dips are shallow, and bulls are stepping in quickly.

Maybe trade futures contract not CFDs ? 0.0125 point spread for mini ( 0.005 for micro contract )
if you enter with market order. And wider spread during news is normal, its the way market works.
Before important news orderbooks gets thin.

Yeah, but for silver spreads get high even at normal times even when there is no news or start/end of week.

Are you talking about spread on XAG/USD?
Yes these spread are lot wider and up to CFD brokers whim.

Yes, and also the movements are so much volatile some times. It can break your SL in 10 seconds even it is 0.2$ away.

Hello,

In comparison with Gold and EU it is really hard to trade in Silver as it is too much volatile and spreads are higher without any reason. But, if you can catch a move then it can give you much more profit than gold or EU. Like, see the todays movement.. Gold went up 500 pips and Silver went upto 1500 pips

Do I believe there is manipulation in the trading world? Yes.
But do manipulation happen daily? Nope.

For manipulation to happen, it requires a huge co-ordinated move. People/institutions with that power won't bother to do it daily. Just think about it yourself-if you're the CEO of a big corporation, would you be insider trading everyday?

Very often, people cry "manipulation" because their trades went wrong. Not because there truly is manipulation.

i think i should avoid it then cuz if it moving like then the stops will be bigger too and i got no capital to put bigger stops and get bigg spreads ....

aggreed yah sometimes people also put blame on news and shi and i think about it as "just don't trade the markets when there is a news " and sometimes its just the follishness of people cuz fundamental news also (kinda) follow the technical anyalysis ....but the smc and inducement what are your thoughts the headge funds and the firms or money management companies like blackrock maybe they could manipulate the market as this is the way they make money right

Yup... Sometimes you need to put a 300 pip stop and any stop less than 100 pip then you need to pray not to be taken out by spreads..

I repeat once more. No praying needed. If CFDs broker keeps taking you out of trades with widening spreads then is time to switch futures contract trading.
Futures market is fair market. Only others traders can take you out of trades.

Okay. Can you specify the pair and trading equipment you are talking about? I was talking about XAGUSD.

As there are many CFD brokerage firms ( everybody has different price and spreads for XAGUSD) also there are many futures brokerage firms ( that connect to one centralized marketplace that have same price for silver for everybody does not matter what broker you use.) , some offer they own trading platforms or you can buy standalone platform that allows connection to many different markets ( stocks, options, futures).
