Of course this is bound to happen when you are trading with a conflict of interest. You win= they lose.
I am an avid user of prop firms, but if you are looking long term and you can trade.....you need to align with companies who want you to succeed.
Forunately, you have pulled hundreds of thousands already from these firms, but for the average Joe........this is simply not the answer.
I mean, WTF do you mean I can't trade GC.......not what I signed up for.....it's just complete bullshit they can change rules on the fly.

It looks like TS put the brakes on metal minis and limits on micros for whatever reasons. Most likely due to the volatility and market halts.

Their discord is nothing but brain damaged degens as it is.

Was just about to post that. Really sucks. I was 77% of the way through a challenge and now I have to request a refund. One alternative they're offering is to go live with their broker and they'll match your challenge fee in the account. Not clear if you get to keep that extra money or if it's just lent to you for the sake of extra leverage.

Do we have an issue with Apex or Rithmic now? When I try to trade only one contract of MGCJ6 (micro gold), I am getting the following message:

This is the current margin requirement on gold in AMP Futures. Yes, margin's increased but trading is not halted. It looks prop firms cannot handle current volatility and simply shutting down the trading. I've sent an email to APEX if they can extend my monthly billing date accordingly as I trade only gold. I think they won't extend....

Yeah I doubt it has anything to do with margin

For every trader that blows up their account there may be one that picks the right direction and captures a massive move.

And, well, they just can't have traders making huge gains.

Me too. First time I'm nearing a payout with them by trading micros. Hope I get a chance to test their payout before the usual bust on the trailing drawdowns. LOL.

Not all props are same. No problems with Lucid, Tradeday... and there are more.
Right now it seems to be only Topstep and Apex thing.

Finally funded my personal futures account. Using tradovate/ninjatrader instead of AMP. Rithmic doesn't seem to work well with Quantower for me here in Malaysia. Thinking of whether to get the ninjatrader lifetime plan for 1499 for lower fees & commissions.

I'll probably deposit some money into AMP and tryout MT5 to see. It's much cheaper there compared to ninjatrader.

There is no hurry to buy lifetime plan. Try NT for a month or two.
Some people make mistake and rush buying lifetime plan.
After short-term use of NT they don't like at all and are trying to re-sell they lifetime license.

The last part of the first line says it all. Why would anyone expect anything different? Darwin & SBM Capital are true prop firms with SBM Capital being focused on stocks. Few will have the success that montygoldy appears to be having trading with the other prop firms. I've had fair success with one prop firm, but trade small & ask for small payouts. Fairing much better with one private futures broker. Just my views & nothing more.
