Hi Cja, Can you help me code the indicator symbol changer that
The Button border changes color same the volume indacator color. I mean when the color of volume indicator is green, red... the symbor changer is the same.

WOW, how complicated do you want it to be?

Have you tried to run 2 instances on the indicator?

Symbols list in first sub-window,

Timeframes in the next sub-window.

Show a chart if that works, I'm curious as to how that would make any improvements.

Given that MT already has a timeframes Toolbar that can be floated anywhere on the chart now.

It takes a lot for me to IGNORE you, but you can try.

This is a wonderful indicator so thank you for all the time you've spent developing it. I'm having one small issue with it. I am using V5.1, however it keeps showing USDJPY even though it's not in the market watch. It's not open on any profile, chart or used on any other indicator. There is nothing else that it could be pulling from that I have open. Heck, I don't even trade that pair LOL.

This is from one broker:

As you can see, USDJPY is not in the market watch. I also tried to manually add my pairs, however, one of my brokers uses a suffix and so the pair names are not the same length, and my other broker doesn't use a prefix or suffix and when I add for example US30, it shows as a button but is not clickable due to the name length as well.

So using the market watch always gives me USDJPY and using the manual add won't work due to the pair length. Do you know of any fix to get rid of USDJPY? It's a slight annoyance but won't stop me from using the indicator because as I said, I love it. Just curious if there is a work around. Thank you.

Unfortunately I can not duplicate any of your issues, if I load manually from my Broker WS30 DAX30 UKOil-F etc the buttons are still clickable. The USDJPY problem I cannot explain, if it was a common issue then I would have expected a lot of comments about it.

Well it must be something with my brokers then with USDJPY. I see that you mentioned adding the manual pairs and I tried it again using 10 for a length because that is the longest. This is what I get. Notice the buttons. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong?

Hey Cja, your "Symbol Changer Profit Display" is an other excellent addition by you to your already long list of great indicators. I find it VERY useful. Thank you for all the help and contribution you make to forex and fellow traders.

I have a Couple of requests. (and many other traders have asked for a button that will change symbols of multiple charts. For example, if i have 4 charts open and i want to EURUSD on all of them.

I know you already contribute so much to ForexFactory traders, (and of course you are so much going on in your life....), I believe with some additional help from you, your indicator can respond to many traders' requests, and it will become even more useful.

1. If you change the necessary code to find a solution to traders'' above request, and add an option in this indicator's properties as follows: Allow all chart changed to same symbol: YES / NO, now when i have four charts open, i will deploy your symbol changer profit display indicator on all of them, and on every chart i will say YES to the above option (i.e. Allow all chart changed to same symbol), and when i click for example THREE TIMES on EURUSD, all four of my charts in my MT4 terminal should show EUR USD charts.

2. Same thing can be done if you wanted all four charts to be changed any one / same time frame i.e. change all charts to M5, M15 or H1 etc.

There is no need to load a Symbol Changer onto every chart you only need to load it onto one chart.

There are scripts here on the Forum that change all charts for Symbols and Time frames so perhaps you can try those, just use the Forum search function.

Cja, Thank you for your response... i had tried using the scripts that change all charts to same time frame but it didn't work for me, may be because i am using latest version of MT4 (version 1353)

Hi Cja, there is an issue with the "Auto select pairs from the Market Watch" feature on v5.1.

If I save a template with the Symbol Changer v5.1 on chart with the "Auto Select pairs" setting enabled and if I have 10 pairs in market watch for example, then if I load the template on another MT4 instance that has less pairs number on the market watch, e.g. 8 pairs, the Symbol Changer will still display 10 pairs buttons when the template is loaded on chart, but there will be 2 extra duplicate buttons being shown to fill the missing pairs. For example, let's say the 7th and 8th pairs are USDJPY and EURGBP, then the Symbol Changer will display it like: [USDJPY] [EURGBP] [USDJPY] [EURGBP]

The only way to correct this issue (if we don't want to enable same pairs number on the MT4 instance) is to open the Symbol Changer input settings and then click the Ok button which seems to force the indicator to reload the pairs from market watch. But doing this is tedious if I have a lot of saved templates with the symbol changer.

Also, I got same issue with the @PTiTM's issue above where the symbol that isn't enabled in market watch is being shown by the Symbol Changer, but in my case it's usually USDHKD symbol that shows up. I don't know exactly how to reproduce this issue, but it seems the issue tends to shows up if you remove/hide a symbol from market watch. This also happened with the "Auto Select pairs" setting being enabled.

I also have a little suggestion. With the "Auto select pairs from the Market Watch" setting being enabled, please add option to sort the pairs buttons automatically from A-Z.

Don't load a template from another instance of MT4 do a separate template for each MT4. Switching templates between MT4 platforms is just asking for trouble with the template trying to load something that does not exist on that MT4 platform.

I got same issue with the @PTiTM's issue above where the symbol that isn't enabled in market watch is being shown by the Symbol Changer
I have not been able to duplicate that issue so until I can duplicate it I can not see if it needs fixing or if it is something else causing the problem.

please add option to sort the pairs buttons automatically from A-Z.
All you need to do is set the order you want for the Symbols in your Market watch list then the indicator will load them on the chart in the same order.
