I have a question regarding breakouts and can't find an answer here in this thread and I'm on my second time going through 588 pages searching for an answer. In the chart attached: at the start of the day ( Crude Oil 1H ) you can see a big red bar set the tone for the day and there was no way of the market evey bouncing back high again. How do you handle these breakout trades, do you NOT trade the session as there's no reversals long or do you trade the breakout short. {image}
There a couple of green H1 candles that gave an opportunity for a few pips.

Thanks for getting back to me, yes there were a few scalps long. Ok still no decisive answer on breakouts with 123. I'll asume since price is under the open bar of the start of todays market, then the market is shorting.

A few trades today. One loss, rest profit. I wonder where do you fellows put the stop loss. I put it right below/above most recent daily high/lows.

Would you enter this trade? I didnt enter because the next bar didnt make any attemp towards the high. Immediately turned south. A lot of pairs did the same and big opportunity vanished.

I dont hesitate to enter the trade when i see the rules are met.

Today i had several bad trades and losses, erasing yerterday's gains. But today's last 3 trades compensated all the losses. Overall profit for today.
Took profit too early. Need to master trailing..
