US30 has been moving well, but I抦 noticing a lot of setups look good and then fail before structure actually confirms. Lately I抳e been waiting more and trading less, even if it means sitting out entire sessions. Not easy, but it抯 definitely reduced unnecessary risk. Curious how others here manage patience on US30, especially on news days.
Based on my own journaling, i've been telling myself the same thing. For me, the best days are when US30 does clean long pull backs that can be so easy to scalp, but when it does stuff like the last few days it's almost impossible to trade, entering with fomo would have a very poor risk scructure.
Regarding patience, US30 has been testing my patience. What ever it decides to do, If it doesn't look clean and it's jittery, i prefer not to enter. Sometimes, I enter away and it's a hit or miss. Even if it's profitably, it feels like a loss anyway, because of failing a disciplinairy excercise, if that makes sense. Being patient and accepting defeat has been one of the hardest things I had to learn, and I'm still in the process of overcoming it.
Overall, US30 has been giving good results, much better than NAS100 or SPX. Once US30 decides on a course after like 30/60 minutes, it usually sticks to that course for a few hours in general. For NAS100/SPX, the narrative changes all the time with S/R zones that are not always respected.
