these are the 2 shorts i detected this morning, first one rejection m5 fvg inside a h1 fvg with the nova entry signals, second one rejection m5 fvg after nova diverged price and gave the entry on the pb towards the ob
{quote} Yes if swing trading then you can use the HTF imbalances but then as I love trading M1 I would be looking for imbalances and reversals inside of the HTF imbalances. My issue at the beginning was that I never knew where price was going to truly turn or why price would manipulate. This is why I keep mentioning session highs and lows, previous day week and even months too. If we have a BIG move all of a sudden then I'll mark out the M1 and M5's. If we're inside an H1 or higher imbalance too then it's higher probability. I know that I said you...
Looking forward to learning more. Thank you
How long do you keep the imbalances active? Till they get touched one time or when the price moved far away already?

This was also really good too and lined up with the nova signal.

You can see the difference here between both entry style. Imbalance and then Nova.

The EMA's were fanned out which indicates the bullish momentum so you could have taken either... eitherway there was profit to be made.

One tip regarding the 50% of the imbalance, you don't have to focus on the 50% and also... if theres more than one imbalance... i.e if its just 1 massive push across more than 3 candles then mark them out individually.

Make sure it's always 3 candle formations... sometimes I mark the whole area and then just take a position when the top of it gets tagged but for some reason price loves 50%.

I keep them active ideally until they've been fully closed.

Sometimes price will take 50%, move away from it and then fail to break the high and in that case it will most likely come back down to grab the rest OR seek a lower area of liquidity.

Next week I'll be getting back onto the Nova emphasis but you can use nova to read what volume is doing... you can use it to spot divergence in the volume.

I don't want to be posting as if I know it all because truthfully I don't but we can only be on the right side of success by spotting the right things.

Main thing is the WHY?

Why did that happen and also who is getting screwed right now?

Once you get an understanding of that then it helps build confidence.

When liquidity is taken out and going bullish theres tonnes of sellers in drawdown so as soon as price does come back down to the imbalance or low they'll exit rapidly.

The market makers are also in drawdown themselves when they take sell side liquidity so again... they'll get out of their positions where their real BUYS are.

Also, the signal line on Nova. If you get a clean pullback and the signal line dips below the 0 level and then comes back up and starts to cross back above the 0 level in a bullish trend then if it's supported by bullish volume bars then you can take the 2nd bar close/3rd bar open entry.

So price has taken out the high of the week and as you can see, reacted to that zone.

This is how I've marked my chart up

See the reaction now to the M1 imbalance. It's not all random.

This is literally how you can take between 5 & 18R out of that tap into the imbalance IF price stays above and heads back to the high of day

You'd be up 7R+ already if you did so losing would never be an option. TP, partial best case or BE at the absolute worst.

Great demonstartion of imbalance working, but just an observation Nova at the time, would have kept me out of the trade.
Its all just one persons opinion

Yeah it's true which is why for people wanting something solid I would recommend just targetting 2R using Nova. It simply works.

If you are more advanced then you can look at imbalances and only trade once something else has happened to be able to get 10R in 1 trade.

But lets face it, most people like me as well on here before... I just want something steady which is what Nova can do.

I'm only sharing more advanced stuff now because we are well over 100 pages and theres so much info within... so over time when you want the more advanced stuff u can come here. However, maybe I should have started a more advanced Nova thread... idk.

Following on from this... 17R

Stop just below the imbalance
